We got the story of how the distillery came to be and the interesting origin of their name. We also discussed their use of mesquite smoke and its effect on their whiskey and how the climate in Arizona effects the barrel aging process.

We sat down with Rich Daughtridge (President and CEO) and Shanna Mueller (Brand Strategist) to find out how Warehouse Cinemas has excelled while many other theaters have struggled. We also talked about the importance that food, beer, and cocktails play in the Warehouse experience. Rich also gave us some insight into how movie distribution works. Episode 333 - Guinness Open Gate Brewery

This week we went to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Halethorpe, Maryland. We met up with Todd Perkins and Sean Brennan for what is on the horizon with Guinness in Baltimore. We discussed their recent announcement that they would be moving the production of Guinness Blonde to another facility; however, the innovation brewery, tap room and restaurant will all remain operational. Additionally, we got a preview of what they have planned for the their 5th anniversary and Octoberfest this year. Finally, they announced that they will be donating 50 thousand dollars to the Brewer's Association of Maryland as well as hosting an annual beer festival with Maryland breweries during their anniversary to benefit BAM, the first one will be in 2024.
